The M. A. Center named after Mata Amritanandamayi who is lovingly called Amma, is run entirely by volunteers and inspired by Amma's holistic vision of unity and selflessness. The ashram strives to put Amma's teachings into action. Since its inception in February of 1989, the center has provided a welcoming community for spiritual seekers to enjoy a contemplative and nurturing atmosphere amid the beauty of its natural surroundings through retreats, volunteer activities, classes, chanting, devotional singing, and meditation.

The M. A. Center embraces a diverse community that spans different cultural and religious backgrounds and ages. We share in common an appreciation of the great spiritual truths that transcend religious affiliations, such as compassion, devotion, love and service. Sustainable practices like organic gardening, recycling, waste reduction, and more, are encouraged to increase awareness and reverence for nature as inspired by Amma's teachings and to help fulfill our responsibility as stewards for the well-being of the earth. We warmly welcome your presence at M. A. Center and invite you to participate in ongoing activities.
