US Tour and more
Amma in North America and Canada: Amma has gone back to her
home-base in India, Amritapuri. Her 10 city US tour and last stop
in Canada was a memorable one for all as thousands thronged in each
city for her embrace. The Press gave good
coverage in many stops and the mayors of many counties warmly
welcomed Amma to their regions. As her huge ship of humanitarian
activities keeps gathering momentum with each passing tour, so does
our inspiration to serve humanity through her own example.

As a travel diary deep inside the heart of India, DARSHAN, THE EMBRACE
focuses on Amma, "The Hugging Saint," one of the most
important and influential Mahatmas (spiritual guides) alive today.
For the very first time, Amma agreed to open the doors of her own
world to a foreign director, Jan Kounen (Dobermann, Blueberry) who
accompanied her across India. This intimate documentary captures
her charisma and loving spirit through conversations with Amma and
those close to her.

Satsang of the Month
Congratulations to the Colorado satsang for their contribution to
society!
Here is a brief report from the Colorado Satsang:
On Saturday July 8th, members from the Bailey/Denver Satsangs
spent a rainy morning in downtown Denver making and serving fried
bread. A vendor at the North American Indigenous Games festival
graciously allowed us to help prepare and serve fried bread tacos
in order to raise funds for the various humanitarian activities
of the M.A.Math. As we worked through the challenges of the weather,
our spirits were bright and we fondly remembered Amma's love and
her presence could be felt in the tent and in our hearts. The Native
American music filled our ears while thoughts of Amma tour kitchen/serving
seva filled our heads.
Thank you again for all who helped, especially Danica Brown and
her friend, Bessie, who made it happen!
On Saturday, July 29th, Dhanya Rohde opened her home to Colorado
satsang for a day of celebration and gratitude. After we gathered
for prayer, we had a seva planning meeting where we discussed various
selfless-service activities and fundraising ideas. This was a wonderful
opportunity for newcomers as well as seasoned sevites. After the
meeting, we enjoyed a wonderful vegetarian bar-b-q and pot luck.
Madhuri Montgomery recently ran a garage sale at her home in Nederland
and donated the proceeds to charity. Our next garage sale will be
held the weekend of August 19th and 20th. We will also be selling
baked goods. If you have items to donate or a favourite recipe or
would like to help with the sale, call us at 720-224-5679. A Mother's
day celebration is tentatively scheduled for August 8th. We have
a lot going on in Colorado and we invite you to get involved and
have some fun!!

Love is beyond either condition:

"One
went to the door of the Beloved and knocked. A voice asked, 'Who
is there?' He answered, 'It is I.' The voice said, 'There is no
room for Me and Thee.' The door was shut. After a year of solitude
and deprivation he returned and knocked. A voice from within asked,
'Who is there?' The man said, 'It is Thee.' The door was opened
for him."
