Kids Snack Shop

This is an inspiring report by Gowrish, who witnessed Amma's message (of Love and Service to the poor) put to practice by little Daniella.

The kids decided to take the Snack Shop on Tour! Here are some photos of them today setting up at their grandma's house! I was there and watched as the first customer rode up on his bicycle. He was an adult man who was mentally challenged. He came up and said "What's this?" Daniella (the older girl) explained that it was a Snack Shop to raise money for Amma's Orphanage in Kenya. The man said he would like a lemonade and asked if it was ok for him to give one penny for the glass...they were charging fifty cents. Daniella said "Oh sure!" and took the penny and proceeded to happily pour the man a glass of lemonade!!! He thanked them and told us that that he had lost his parents as well.

It was beyond sweet and special and a great teacher for me. I am blown away by these girls! My sister and brother in law have done quite an amazing job in continuing to raise them with values and compassion and Love for everyone.

Daniella is especially connected to Mother and I showed her one of the DVD's from Tour this summer....she watched with the sweetest smile on her face as the scenes changed with Mother here and there! She told me that she feels Mother with her all the time and sometimes she even feels Mother lay down next to her when she is going to sleep....she says she tells Mother everything! She also told me that so many people that come to Mother don't realize who She is! She said that they think She is just a nice lady giving hugs....they don't understand how very special it is that Amma is with us here, now and that how special that Hug She Gives is! She then told me that it was ok though because they aren't supposed to know! Can you imagine!

Daniella is just 7 years old.....obviously one of Mother's for sure! She joyfully yells out "LEMONADE!" to all passing the Snack Shop and gets so happy when someone waves or better yet stops to buy something. Today they raised about $27.81! Daniella says that their goal is $100 so they can really help the kids in Kenya. I am humbled by their love and efforts for sure.
