Where &When:

» Transition House, 31st of the month.
» Homeless Shelter: 3 or 4 Evenings a month during the winter 5:30-7:00 PM.
» Food From the Heart, Wednesdays 8 AM to 1 PM.

We have 3 projects currently. On the 31st of the month (roughly every other month) we plan, prepare and serve supper and the following day's bag lunch for the Transition House, a Family Residence for homeless families. Transition House was established by local churches in 1984. Every night of the month, food is provided by a different church or group.

Three times a month during the winter (Dec-March), we serve dinner at Casa Esperanza, a homeless shelter. We work with a volunteer coordinator of "The Community Kitchen of Santa Barbara". We bring 4 people to serve about 200 people who temporarily live there.

Our satsang is helping Food From the Heart, Wednesdays 8 AM to 1 PM. Food From the Heart serves people in crisis because of illness or under the care of Hospice. The simple idea is to bring a weekly offering of good, wholesome food made with love and dedication. Food is prepared at a church kitchen and driven to the homes by volunteers.
